We left sunny Whitby at 7 o'clock this morning and rode through Middlesborough, Newcastle, Ashington and aimed to be in Berwick upon Tweed for lunch.  Unfortunately, in Alwick Iain dropped his bike and snapped his gear lever!  Natalie and Iain went in search of spares, then we fixed the gear lever as best we could and got to Berwick approx 1 hour later than scheduled!   At least the sun is still shining and it didn't take too long to sort out.  This afternoon we rode on and crossed the border into Scotland, on through Edinburgh and aimed for St Andrews for the night.  Below are some pictures we took today:  Charlie in Whitby wasn't sure if he would be able to keep up on his bike! border with Scotland.  Bye for now!
